If you are undertaking an adventure activity it is recommended that you consider safety aspects of yourself and your group. If necessary, seek professional advice. Use the weather forecast specific to the area, e.g. Snowdonia
mountain forercast from the Met Office.

What to do in an emergency
The Mountain Rescue Service in the UK is a free service provided by volunteers, dependent upon donations.
If you have an emergency you contact the Police (999 or 112 by telephone) who will contact the Mountain Rescue Service, if necessary
You should know:
- Your position (Grid reference and landmark preferably)
- The number of casualties and injury
- The total number in your group and their condition
